Preventing Pregnancy Lower Back Pain

Hello Darling One!

If you or a loved one is pregnant and in an UNCOMFORTABLE way lower back wise – this exercise could prove useful.

The deal with pregnancy is that it is a BIG physical undertaking!

And the truth is the stronger and healthier the body is going in – and the more you aim to MAINTAIN that level of tone and ability the longer you will stave off discomfort.

And by the by, being well conditioned can also help majorly with DELIVERY – as that is QUITE a strenuous endeavor as well.

SO, with all that if you find yourself in discomfort (especially of the lower back variety) please remember that pain is generally a result of muscular weakness.

Meaning the solution is typically STRENGTH.

Here’s a lower back exercise modification for the ladies that can no longer lie on their belly’s, but are more than in need of extra support.

Combination Couples Massage and Reflexology

Hello Dear One!

Valentine’s Day is almost upon us, and if you’ve yet to plan something fun with your sweetie – perhaps you’ll spend the weekend with us…

Myself and Carolee will be offering Combination Couples Massage and Reflexology sessions over Valentine’s weekend (Saturday 2/15 and Sunday 2/16).

Your time on the table will be split equally between massage and reflexology.  Or if both would prefer all of one treatment – that can easily go on as well.

We’ll also be upping the ambiance and adding to the specialness of this holiday by having our room bathed in candlelight, scattered with rose petals, and finishing with a treat of dark chocolate covered strawberries.

See if your beloved would like some time by your side, enjoying deep relaxation, healing care, and an experience to last for years to come.

Schedule here.

To bringing the love ;),

How Reflexology Helps with Stress

Hello Darling One!

Have you HEARD about reflexology, but have yet to experience it?

If you think it’s only a glorified foot rub, think again.

Not only can more of the body be accessed by known and specific spots called reflex points on the sole of the foot (or hand, or face), but the body can be both assessed AND attended to by those same points.

Because of how much of the body can be affected through these reflex points, reflexology can affect our physical health as well as our emotional health.

“Most clients have utilized reflexology as an adjunct therapy for reasons varying from anxiety, to plantar fasciitis, and even sinus or digestive issues.

The point of reflexology is not to treat or cure disease, but rather to help the nervous system kick back a notch, and let the body function without stress impeding it.

Many people that have trouble sleeping, or focusing find it a helpful mindful practice, and use it as a way to get back on track.”

Speed Healing, Summer Special, & Dragon Boating

Hello My Darling!

Ok! Hopefully this sharing is useful for you or those around you (namely KIDS!).

I had a nasty abrasion from my Dragon Boat practice (check out an article that was written about our team in Motif Magazine), and was concerned about it not healing…

until I used this product that I got from my esthetician ages ago.

(Laurie Neronha at Viriditas in RI is a WIZARD, if you are in need GO!).

Check out this quick video that usurped the need to make a clip about Lymphatic Drainage for similar purposes.

Also if you weren’t aware almost EVERY type of bodywork aids in healing and health as it encourages the body to be in a state of homeostasis (= balance) during and after.

(Article on Reiki and our Immune System)

And if you’ve yet to experience the transformative powers of Reiki, OR have yet to join the Cult of Carolee, she is offering a Summer Solstice Special for that modality.

June 17th to July 17th
60 min Reiki sessions will be $70
45 min Reiki sessions will be $60

Carolee’s schedule is always limited, so book now to reserve your spot.

So whether it is Lymphatic Drainage, Massage, Reiki or Reflexology – know that time you spend supporting your body from the outside, dividends will be reaped on the inside.

To getting you clear on how the body works in order to make it work for you.
