Cramp Medic (the movie!!)

Hello Dear Ones,

That’s right, this information has already been discussed, BUT my spidey sense tells me that it “might” not have been digested as intended…

SO.  Here’s one big fat visual.  And if a picture is worth a 1000, hoping one in motion magnifies that number and significantly ups the understanding.

If charley horses plague your nocturnal serenity, then watch away darlings!  Create sweet relief, all while staying snugly in bed.

Shoulder Relief 101 (video!!!)

Hello My Darlings,

Ok! More! More education on how to create shoulder joy and support here for you to explore!

Tweaked rotator cuffs have gotten many an individual down, and continue to keep them down :(. Pain and prevention of being able to do what you love stinks!

Blessedly, you have to suffer no longer. By using an approach that reinforces how to anchor your shoulder before you use it, and that strengthens the teeny, tiny foundational muscles soundly, relief will be gained. Quickly!!

***Please note – if you have a SEVERE injury = TEAR to muscle or connective tissue around joint. That needs special attention!!!!***

Try this out if you experience shoulder issues to ANY degree, OR as an effective way to help prevent them from happening in the first place (= best!!).

Massage most exquisitely used is as a preventative tool for pain and dysfunction. Strength training is no different.

So grab a seat and have your mind illuminated as to how easy it can be to feel great :).

To helping you build a stable framework and comfortable body.

This is How We Roll (video!!)

Hello Dear Ones,

This has been months in the making in the land of intention. Now finally it’s here!

Many have voiced confusion and interest in how to best foam roll to create a major impact on the body.

Hopefully this video clarifies and cements the best (and first please!!) areas to seek out w/ that delightful foam roller of yours. Omitted on screen, but not in thought, is the ba(aaahhhhh)ck. Please view rolling that as a sweet treat to end your meal w/. It feels delicious, but will not provide NEARLY as much relief as attention spent initially (and primarily) on the front of your bod.

(please click on link below to see how to create self induced relief)

AND if you are in need of a roller (or have questions), either be in touch, or click the Perform Better link at the bottom of the screen to get connected to your next legendary love ;).

Enjoy! And Employ it!

To keeping you loose even when out of reach.

Off Roading & Staying on Track

Oh Darlings!

To be committed to forward movement, and then to get off course!

It happens! All the time!

1st – shifting to more beneficial behaviors is no small deal. Even the DESIRE to create greener pastures for yourself is tremendous!

So, give yourself a brief but tender hug, before gathering ’round again.

2nd – Life happens! Crap happens! Schedule shifts and obligations happen! Fun plans happen! Seasonal happenings happen!

We are in this glorious, never the same thing twice, constantly evolving, life thing that happens!

Be thankful for this, and be clear on what the deal is.

SO, when thrown from the horse or even just gently knocked slightly off course – get back on it!

The more committed you are to attaining what you’ve set out to, the more likely you are to quickly (sometimes effortlessly) reorient yourself back to your “on track”.

The details matter little when your Grand Plan is your driving force.

So put off following up w/ those leads, skip stretching this week, go to bed late, FINISH the chocolate cake. Do it.

Love yourself for your versatility.

Then get back on track.

To riding beside you on or off the pavement ;).

Cramp Medic

Ok Dear Ones,

So you’re in a deep restful slumber, when “Whoa!!”.

Out of nowhere your rarely heard from calf decides to give you a heart attack inducing wake up call – AKA a cramp. Boo to that!

Cramps are a drag, and cramps are humbling. They command respect. NOW. And there is no NOT tending to such an attention grabber.

SO, what to do when seized from sleep? How to treat the teeny demon that is causing pain to sear into your lower leg and foot?

Many of you have heard me preach about the Logic that is Your Body – and how to treat a cramp falls under this umbrella as well.

Now there are many factors that can cause a cramp – dehydration, calcium deficiency, uber tight muscles in the area of concern… Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! And any one of those culprits could be causing your body to jump and jive on it’s own accord.

SO, when ripped from dreamland and hopping on the floor to rid yourself of the intense pain think about the your shin NOT your calf.

Think about gingerly flexing your foot, and working at bringing your toes in the direction of your nose to tame that beast in your body.

This actually works. It feels like magic when you do it, but this trick is based in logic as well.

This maneuver is called reciprocal inhibition. Basically, when you make one side of body work (ie contract), the other side has to stop (ie relax).

This is golden info my darlings! Use it! Share it w/ your friends! And commit it to memory, for when you’re flailing on the ground begging for mercy – you will want this tool in your belt.

Your body is a network of levers and pulleys, put that knowledge to use for your own benefit.

To sleeping soundly, or knowing what the heck to do if you get rudely interrupted.

Come Unglued

Hello Darlings,

Feeling stuck? Feel like there’s something in the way?

Well, pat yourself for being right, because there is.

When the haze settles over us that clouds our vision, inhibits our focus, and makes getting things done challenging – there is something is attend to! You!

The malaise of distraction and restraint is ALWAYS driven by SOMETHING.

It’s not you. There’s simply something there that needs a little attention, and something that needs to be done.

How to drive the demons out and set yourself free again?

Ask. Listen. Do.

Crazy suggestions coming from inside? Awesome. Yes. Get in your car. Drive down that street that means nothing to you. Arrive at an unexpected destination that actually needed to be reached. Come to a conclusion NOT expected and dead on.

We’ve been conditioned to NOT listen to our inner wisdom, and to not trust our gut impulses.

Our voices are often soft and inaudible, but with curiosity and cultivation they become clearer and more consistently accessible.

You are a unit! If something is off, something is off! Denying, brushing it under the rug, and forging on never makes the mess go away.

So get unstuck! Take a moment. Ask what’s up. Ask what is needed. There’s always a “do” under the unrest.

So take a little trip, have an adventure, get your needs met and come back to you.

The best thing to take a chance on and believe in is you.

To sticking w/ it, and letting loose.

Independence Way

Hello My Patriotic Pals,

We are almost there, yes?

The true birthday of our nation, our date of declaring and establishing our freedom.

So let’s celebrate! And celebrate you!

Celebrate your innate spark. Celebrate the mark you make on the universe. Commemorate your singularity and uniqueness.

And be you. Be true blue. Be unfettered and one of a kind.

To be independent, one (like our forefathers) often has to step on toes and ruffle feathers, and also figure out what it is to truly be the individual that is you.

The independent way is not always one cluttered w/ cheerleaders and grandstands, but more often an unknown, sometimes solitary, but always adventurous new path.

Being independent allows us to connect to ourselves, which actually allows us to be connected to others in an authentic way.

Being independent enables us to be clear as to what works for us, or what doesn’t, and to have access to our innate wisdom.

Being independent gets us synched up w/ our path, and careening along towards our destiny.

Being independent aligns us w/ the ebb and flow of the world, and helps us not get knocked off our axis when upsets occur.

Fostering a state of independence and self reliance is the best gift one can give themselves, and the best present our founding fathers have role modeled.

So listen to you. Follow your voice. Care for your needs. And turn towards what lights you up.

Whatever it is, you’re right! Because you always are!

To being full of yourself ;).
